 jd's Loom Knitting

Since being diagnosed with Cancer and the rare disease Amyloidosis jd took up knitting which compliments her writing. She has made over thirty hats and given them away as gifts to loved ones. Knitting, for her, is a meditation act.  A hobby that keeps her mind off her present situation.  A hobby that helps her remain positive and her hours filled. especially now with Covid 19 and the restrictions from visitors that has had to be imposed.

Yes, she is still writing, but being bed bound, she needed another creative venture and outlet. Knitting became the answer.  Motivation came from her daughter who teaches disadvantaged children and is a weaver and lover of anything that includes fabric and design.

All jd's hats are created on a loom, not knitting needles. jd found the needlework too difficult as she has carpal tunnel. She thanks the day her good friend told her about the looms.

jd has enjoyed creating this page for her site and your pleasure.
